Super high-res digital aerial photography is available for selected cities across England.


12.5cm Aerial Photo

Digital high-resolution aerial photography is available at 12.5cm for much of England and Wales. Also with the option to purchase at resolutions of 25cm, 50cm, 2m and 1m available.

Captured: From 2006 onwards

Resolution: 12.5cm

Accuracy XY: ± 50cm rmse

Optimum Viewing Scale: 1:750

Formats: JPG, TIFF, ECW


25cm Aerial Photo

Digital aerial photography is available at a standard 25cm resolution nationwide, with options to purchase 50cm, 1m, 2m and 5m. Updated via a 3 year cyclic update programme, Bluesky aerial photography is the ideal dataset for mapping and managing land, data and assets, and also provides the perfect backdrop for other mapping products.

50cm Colour Infrared

As concerns for the environment grow, colour infrared photography (CIR) offers us a wealth of information on the health and state of the vegetation. A colour infrared image, in the near infrared spectrum band, is acquired simultaneously with aerial photography.


50cm NDVI

NDVI (Normalised Difference Vegetation Index)  is a widely used measurement of the visible and near-infrared light reflected by vegetation. This Nationwide dataset, gives users the unique opportunity to quantify the concentration and quality of vegetation anywhere across the country.

NDVI is a simple to interpret graphical dataset is, facilitating speedy identification of vegetation maturity, health, and even potential insect attack and drought.
